Located in the centre of the Aosta Valley, the ski area of Pila is renowned for its commanding views of the 4,000 m mountains of the region, from Mont Blanc to the west to Monte Rosa in the east, sweeping across the Grand Combin and Cervino (Matterhorn).

Sheltered from extreme weather conditions and with skiing at between 1,800 and 2,700 m above sea level the panorama is unrivalled. Easily reached from the town of Aosta by cable car, Pila is one of the best ski areas in the Aosta Valley,  with over 25 pistes covering a distance of 70 km at altitudes of between 1,540 and 2,750 m.
