I was born in Mantua and I started skiing when I was six. By the time I was 13 I was playing league volleyball, which I did for a couple of years. At 35 I opted for beach volleyball.
Skiing has always been part of my life. Never having done it competitively though my attitude is that it is a sport where I want to have fun while enjoying its close contact with nature. In my view nothing about it should be stressful.
When I’m not teaching, I go skiing alone or with friends coming to Valtournenche, my winter home for the last fifteen years.
I work mostly at Cervinia, on the Italian side of the Matterhorn. I sometimes spend a few weeks in Megève, but I prefer the high mountain chains.
I started a new career as an instructor in Trentino (Monte Baldo). Then I spent some time in Madonna di Campiglio before settling in Cervinia. At a certain point I decided I needed a little adventure and I went to New Zealand where I did 2 seasons at Whakapapa (Mount Ruapehu). Once you start moving it gets hard to stop and I ended up in Mammoth Lakes, California, where I spent another 4 seasons.
When I’m not working I take off to my home from home, Jackson Hole in Wyoming. I’ve had some other important skiing experiences near Lake Tahoe in California, and Nevada, then Deer Valley, Park City, the Canyons and Snowbird in Utah and the Dolomites in Italy. After many years as an instructor, skiing continues to be my one great love, which is precisely why I started seeing things from a different point of view. Now I prefer to spend my days skiing with people interested in having an enjoyable time on skis and discovering good Italian food and wine that may be Italian, but not necessarily. And that is how the idea of Alpskitour came about.

I was born and I have always lived in the Aosta Valley. The mountains have held a special place in my heart since I was very young. In fact my love for the mountains was the reason I became an athlete, practicing alpine skiing and bobsleighing and even taking part in the Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. I later became a ski instructor.
More than thirty years of experience on the slopes of the Aosta Valley Alps has helped make me one of their most experienced professional skiers. The mountains are my second home in summer and winter. When I’m not touring with my guests, telemark and mountaineering are my favourite pastimes.

Born and brought up in Champorcher, I became a snowboard and telemark instructor in 2001. After several experiences in and outside Europe, I decide to turn my passion into a job and in 2008 became an Alpine guide. Mine is an exciting job that includes hiking, sport climbing, ice climbing, canyoning, off-piste skiing and mountaineering. I work mainly in the Aosta Valley among the highest mountains in Europe.
